Persuasive Essay - Television is a Bad Influence

Television could be a good and a bad influence. There are good and bad aspects of television news. At the same time it could be a good influence because we can learn skills like cooking and other activities that kids enjoy. Back in the days television was a great invention but it  has become a major problem for the society. In my opinion it's a bad influence because it changes people's mind, sometimes television don't inform the right programs or information and it shows violence, obesity and brain development.

Television must of the time don't show to the society the right things that are happening. They show edit videos that doesn't tell us the truth and make us think different. The Governments usually use the media such as Tv to generate false news  just to get public support. The news often are negative. These false news that can be produced by foreigner or local governments just for only to attract the attention of the society into believing that they're telling the truth. 

Most of the programs or cartoons that television shows contain violence or aggression. Children are going to start to believe that violence doesn’t really hurt others. Television reduces the value of life. I have seen that tv makes death seem funny and unreal. Children don't learn to respect life because of the violence that television shows. Children can't tell the difference between real and unreal, people that are on the tv are actors and the story that they're telling is not true. How can children tell the difference between real violence and the make believe violence. There are a lot of young children that are unable to realize that when a character attacks someone it is not real, many young children still believe in the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus. If children are always viewing their favorite characters using violence or aggression to get what they want, children will do the same.

The television has taken over the most important past time for kids and adults. Kids used to play outside all day running, climbing or doing something active. Children and adults spend hours sitting or eating being completely inactive. Health problems has developed and television has caused or contributed to childs and adults obesity. The energy that we consume from food needs to be used up by the body. There are other ther factors that also contribute to child obesity, but television is a major one, and it's originate at home.

Children and adults should not watch tv. I think television its a bad influence because its violent and the television acts as an educator and its not educating us. It draws attention to the kids to buy junk food, fast food, beer and other stufs. Everyone must don't watch tv and should spend the time during another activities that won't cause obesity. People should think better what the news is telling us because must of the time don't says the truth. In my opinion television is brainwash.
